Fort Worth Parade of Lights November 24, 2006 |
Swan View participants in the Parade of Lights wished 100,000 spectators a Merry Christmas, as they rode through downtown Fort Worth. Swan View students, family and friends rode in a festive holiday wagon, pulled by Ricky and Pepper, a precious pair of miniature horses. Behind the wagon rode Swan View volunteers on Peruvian horses, demonstrating the art of drill team riding. A gentle giant Clydesdale followed the drill team.
Swan View parade participants included Samuel Martindale and his father John David, Jack Hare and his father Robert, Ryan Reed and his mother Lori Gouge. Halee Flemmons and the Davis family joined them in the wagon. The drill team was made up of: Amanda Flynn on Max, Amy Limke on Alexia, Katie Stevenson on Cadete, Cathleen Thatcher on Pisac, Carolyn Waund on Durango, and Elaine Williams on Victor. Cathy Goodale joined the group, riding big Clyde.
Thanks to Jackie Don and Barbara Davis for providing the miniature horses and wagon and to Cathy Goodale for joining us in the parade.
